There is a stream running through my town and in it there are beavers. I think they are adorable but I guess I wouldn't get too close. By the stream the town recently built a new playground (still under construction) and it's amazing, Among other things there is a huge wooden beaver from which there is a slide, a climbing wall and inside you can play house. My son loves it! (you can find some good pics of the playground here: http://dagmammans.blogspot.se/2016/06/justin-baver-finns-pa-lekplatsen-i.html).

So what would be better than a card featuring the super cute beaver by Pretty Cute Stamps. The digi set is called Beavers in Love. I colored her with Faber Castell Polychromos. So cute!

November Spotlight - Kitty Bee Designs

Julen närmar sig och det är juldekorerat i nästan alla butiker. Härligt men som vanligt så hinner jag inte riktigt med...
Denna månadens spotlight för Kitty Bee Designs är ett kort med den gulliga Santa Christmas Penguin. Jag använde Polychromos-pennor och God Jul-die från Mandys som jag köpte hos Engströms :-)

Christmas is getting closer and here in Sweden there are Christmas decorations in every store. Maybe not so strange considering that we start our Christmas on Advent. My card this month is with the adorable Santa Christmas Penguin. I colored him with Polychromos pencils and the beautiful die says God Jul which is Swedish for Merry Christmas. I wish you all just that (a little early but still...) :-)

Game #53 - Anything goes

Make it crafty - CAS DT-call

Make it Crafty söker designers till ett CAS-team. Jag älskar deras motiv och att göra enkla kort så jag tänkte söka "tjänsten" :-)

Detta kort är gjort med digi-motivet "Girls secret swing". Jag färglade med Polychromos och använde sedan min fina Silhouette Portrait för att skära ut motiv och text. Jag monterade denna på ett kraftkort med distanskuddar för en fin effekt.

Make it Crafty is looking for designers for a CAS team. I love the designs they have as well as making CAS cards so I thought I'd apply :-)

This card is made using their digi design "Girls secret swing". I colored the girls with Polychromos och used my Silhouette Portrait cut out the image and text. I put it on a kraft card using 3D dots for a nice effect.

I'm so happy! I was asked to be a guest designer for Art By MiRan's Showcase blog for March with the theme "Fun hair color". This is my first time being asked and it feels great :-)

This is also my first time making a shaker card. It was so much fun but I need to practise a bit. Although I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I love mermaids and this one by MiRan is so sweet. I colored her with pencils and added some "fishy" white dots with a gel pen. My daughter chose the hair color and that the tips would be a different one, kind of like the ombre style that she loves :-)

Men här sitter jag och tar kvällsbilder (inte bra... jag vet...) Motivet är färglagt med Polychromos och texten är titeln på en underbar låt med Pink Floyd. I sista sekund valde jag att hålla kortet ganska rent.

Jag ska absolut göra fler men tänker att såna här kort måste ges uppfällda. I alla fall när det är blommor i vägen. Det går att stänga men knappt... ;-) Tips? Om man nu vill ha stora blommor med?

Blue är temat på The Paper Shelters senaste utmaning. Egentligen Blue Winter men det verkar vara ok att bara ta den första ;-)
För ett tag sen berättade jag att jag vann stämplar från The Paper Shelter genom deras blog hop. Detta motivet är ett av de jag vann och den heter "I miss you".

"Blue" is the theme of the latest of The Paper Shelters challenge. Well, it's really "Blue Winter" but it seems to be alright to just use the first word ;-)
A while back I told you that I won stamps from The Paper Shelter in their blog hop. This is one of them. The stamp is called "I miss you".

This is my application for the art by miran design team.

The reason I'm applying for the art by miran design team is mainly because I love the designs of the stamps. I've always loved this type of images and it brings back memories of some of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid :-) Another reason for applying is that I've never been on any design team and I would love to be. Be a part of a team of people like me <3

This application is very short but I'd love to answer more questions if you have any :-)

Now to my application card:

I used a stamp called "Coraline". I love her. She's so peaceful.

I decided to make her into a vintage photo so she's colored with all greys. I decorated the card with some vintage paper (from an 19th century, swedish, almanac), ribbon, flowers and a doily that I inked and I kept all the colors muted. I hope the feeling of the card shines through and that you like it :-)

Kraft Challenge

I'm entering a new challenge. Mo's Digital Pencil is having one at their challenge blog. The theme is "Kraft paper" and the same is needed somewhere on the card :-)
I printed the image on a, slightly glossy, paper bag and colored with my Polychromos. Right now I'm practicing coloring so the card is only decorated with som pretty washi tape.

Jag är med i en ny utmaning. Mo's Digital Pencil har en på sin utmaningsblogg. Temat är "Kraft paper", det vill säga brunt papper som många papperskassar är gjorda av (kommer inte på det svenska namnet nu...). Motivet är utskrivet på en liten "godispåse" i kraft-material och sedan färglagt med mina Polychromos. Påsen var glansig och färgläggningen blev lite svår men det var bra träning :-)
Motivet revs sedan ut och helt sonika limmades på en kortbas. Eftersom jag tränar färgläggning och sorterar mitt material så blev det bara lite dekorering med washitejp.

I, hereby, apply for the Faery Ink Design Team.

My name is Lena and I'm a married mother of four. I live just outside of Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast. Besides being a mother and wife I'm on leave from my job as a kindergarden teacher and studying full-time to become a teacher for school year 4-6.  I've always loved to create with my hands. I love crafting in general and stamping/cardmaking in particular. But even though I prefer paper, glitter, stamps, coloring I also love making jewelry, sewing, painting and much more.

I've never been on a design team but I have to start somewhere, right?
Faery Ink caught my eye when I was searching for digital stamps on Etsy. I just loved the designs :-)
I'm kind of new to digital stamps and I usually stamp with the rubber kind, but I really like the digital ones since it's easy access (on my computer) and I can resize to fit my project.

I love to color. I'm still in practice when it comes to light source and shadows and I recently started using Faber-Castell Polychomos, which I love! I think I'm better with watercolors but I won't give up. It's a nice "problem" to have, having to practice coloring amazing images :-)

This blog is very new and I'm working on filling it with my art :-)

I fell in love with the Honey Latte Cute Coffee Girl. She's like me, a coffee freak ;-)
I used the "faded" design (first time ever) so the lines of the design doesn't show, as much, and colored with my beloved Polychromos. I feel that the decorations are a bit simple but, like the coffee girl, colorful :-) I hope you like it.

Ny blogg!

Ok, here I go again... A new blog... I can't live without crafts but life made it almost impossible to get crafting done. But before depression hits, I'm back :-)

Ok, nu var det dags igen... En ny blogg... Jag kan inte leva utan pyssel men tyvärr kom livet emellan och gjort det nästan omöjligt att kunna pyssla alls. Men innan depressionen kommer så är jag tillbaka :-)

Tanken är att så fort jag pysslat något ska jag visa det här. Nu får jag hålla tummarna att det blir mer ofta än sällan ;-)

Första bloggbidraget blir ett vintrigt kort. För att komma igång med att göra kort igen tänker jag vara med i lite olika utmaningar. Detta kort är för en utmaning hos: Lia Stampz. Jag tränar fortfarande på att färglägga riktigt snyggt men jag tycker att hon är söt ändå :-)
