Hello again.

I've been fortunate enough to be an Oddball Art guest designer for April as well. Yay!

This time I have an inspiration post for the Creepy Cute Chronicles issue 101. Don't forget to sign up over at oddballartco.com for amazing freebies and fantastic offers.

For this weeks chronicles I've worked with an image called "Covered in crystals".

The image is colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. The background is also made with the same colors, painted and spattered. I also spattered paint on the card base. The background and the image is on 3D adhesive so card looks a bit more fun. I finished by gluing on some tiny sparkly sequins.

You're pretty - Oddball Art

Welcome to another guest designer card for Oddball Art. This time I used the super pretty Noora (image no. 244) and I actually made a video of the whole process. Yikes! I'm not talking though... Not quite there yet...

This is the first video I made not using only images. It's not perfect but I really enjoyed it so hopefully I'll make more and get better at it. Please watch it and also please comment  with what you think.

Sparkle - Oddball Art

Hi..

I'm so happy to tell you that I'm a guest designer for March with Oddball Art. I'm so happy to be asked by Lizzy. I was on the design team a few years back and I still love these images with all my heart.

                                     

Today I.m making a card made with Oddball Art image #109, Kawaii Maddie n friends go back to school. When you get it you recieve two images, like the picture below. One is serious Maddie and one is a bit happier. For this card I chose Happy Maddie :-)

I started by making a background for my card. I really like using distress inks on acrylic blocks for a super pretty effect. You dab the inkpad on an acrylic block, spritz some water on it and plant it on your background paper. Lift it up and dry off the block. At this point I usually move the paper around a little bit before leaving it to dry. Sometimes I use my heat gun, if I need it to dry faster.

 I used the same ink pad and do the whole thing over again and let it dry... again... Of course you can use different colors. Check out my card here and here for examples.

I stamped and embossed my sentiment with a pretty sparkly embossing powder that I've had in my craft stash for I don't know how many years :-) The sentiment is from a stamp set by Taylored Expressions. It's called "Be a unicorn".

It's time to color Maddie. I started of by using watercolor paint but switched to my ZIG Clean Color Brush pens. The first time I used them with water but re-did everything without water. Yup, Maddie was on my desk without colors 3 times... But I'm happy with how she turned out.

I fussy cut her and glued her to my pink distressed paper. A also used some sparkly paper for a frame and her spilling sparkles :-)

And... since it was Leap Day when I finished the card I decided to stamp the back with a date stamp (I usually never put dates on my cards.)

I used the sweet Wanda (Image No. 9). I printed her in a very pale brownish color in an attempt to do some no-line coloring. I colored with watercolor pencils and I also made her hait´r much longer than it usually is. The hair is blowing in the wind and the Toni Morrison quote was a nice fit.

Smile - with Oddball Art

I used the super cute "Silly Sally Smiles" (image No. 307) and colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers. I added some different paper and doilies and finished off with some really cute enamel dots. The "smile" text on Sally's shirt is handwritten. The digi set does come with several awesome sentiments but my printer had it in for me so I had to write by myself :-)

My inspiration project for the July Challenge is a few notecards made with the lil' Sweet Chirps (image no. 197). I took some journaling cards from a set I had in my stash and just glued the cutie on. But first they got different colors (Spectrum Noir markers). And also a little sparkle with some silver glitter glue. I already used one when adding a note to some summer treats for my co-workers.

Idag visar jag två kort. Ett nygjort och ett som skulle visats upp för två veckor sedan men eftersom min dator krashade så blev det inte så.

Första kortet idag är gjort med motiv No. 125, Breezy with her Kawaii Friends. Jag började med att göra bakgrunden med vattenfärger. Sen tänkte jag att jag kör på med mer vattenfärger :-) Jag försökte verkligen att vara noggrann men det blev lite mycket och färgerna rann runt. Efter att motivet torkat tittade jag på det igen och kände att det blev ganska bra ändå och fick ihop ett kort tillslut :-)

Mitt andra kort är med motiv No. 88, Brittanys First Day. Hon är utskiven i en ljus färg och färglagd med Spectrum Noir markers. Tanken var att försöka mig på "no line coloring" och det blev ok. Ska träna mer.
