Covered in crystals

Hello again.

I've been fortunate enough to be an Oddball Art guest designer for April as well. Yay!

This time I have an inspiration post for the Creepy Cute Chronicles issue 101. Don't forget to sign up over at oddballartco.com for amazing freebies and fantastic offers.

For this weeks chronicles I've worked with an image called "Covered in crystals".

The image is colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. The background is also made with the same colors, painted and spattered. I also spattered paint on the card base. The background and the image is on 3D adhesive so card looks a bit more fun. I finished by gluing on some tiny sparkly sequins.

Idag lyser solen. Det är varmt ute. Pollen flödar. Då är jag inne... Det gör mig faktiskt inget eftersom jag föredrar regn framför sol (fast det får man nästan inte göra ;-) ).

Det blev i allafall ett skak-kort. Bakgrunden är målad med distresser. "hello" är en die från My Favorite Things och den underbara paljettmixen som skramlar runt där bakom heter "Disco Lights" och kommer ifrån Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

The sun is shining today. It's warm outside. Pollen everywhere. That's when I'm indoors... I don't mind really since I like rainy days more than sunny ones (but that is something you're almost not allowed to do ;-) ).


Anyway, the day resulted in a shaker card. The background is painted with distress inks. The "hello" die is from My Favorite Things and the eye catching sequin mix that is moving around in the back is called "Disco Lights" is from Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

June Froggie - Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight

This is my first spotlight card and I used the super cute Lily Pad Froggie. Då var det dags! Mitt första DT-uppdrag för Kitty Bee Designs (KBD) :-D

Jag själv har valt att använda ett motiv från Kitty Bee; en söt, musikälskande, panda. Motivet heter "I love sushi" men eftersom jag färglade över bilden på hans t-shirt så syns inte det ;-) På det första fotot ser tröjan svart ut men den är mer åt de grå hållet som andra bilden visar. Jag gjorde kortet till en födelsedagspojke. Bakgrunden är gjord med en stencil och svart + silver stämpeldyna. Sen dekorerades kortet med lite paljetter och bokstäver i silver. Jag tycker att det blev snyggt med svart/vit/silver som färgskala. Pandan är färglagd med Spectrum Noir.

For my card I decided to use a Kitty Bee design; a cute, music loving, panda. The digi is called "I love sushi" but since I colored over his tee it doesn't show ;-) The tee looks black on the first pic but it's more like the grey on the second pic. The cards was made for a birthday boy. The background is made using a stencil and black + silver ink pad. I decorated with sequins and silver letters. I really like the black/white/silver color scheme. The panda is colored with Spectrum Noirs.

Spring into summer - Color challenge at MAWTT

Då var det dags igen :-) Veckans utmaning hos  MAWTT (Moving Along With The Time) Challenge blog har temat "Spring into summer". Inspireras av färgerna på bilden nedan och var med!

Mitt kort är ett så kallat stafflikort med en mall från Silhouette. Den underbart söta trädgårdstomten (och texten) kommer ifrån Kraftin' Kimmie. Hon är färglagd med Spectrum Noir markers (jag tränar och tränar...). Jag tycker själv att jag fångar känslan i färgerna från inspirationsbilden även om det inte är klockrent.

And now to my card for the hop. I chose a sweet design from Lacy Sunshine. His name is Soccer Reggie and I adore him :-)

He is colored using Spectrum Noir markers. The background is made using homemade mist and I added a little sparkle for the soccer star. I also added a super cute "hi" in the corner :-) The edges of Reggie and the background paper is made by using ablack marker - I put the pen on the edge of the paper and it makes a very thin frame.

Note to self: Stop making cards late at night... You mess up and take bad photos... Go to sleep!

I'm so happy! I was asked to be a guest designer for Art By MiRan's Showcase blog for March with the theme "Fun hair color". This is my first time being asked and it feels great :-)

This is also my first time making a shaker card. It was so much fun but I need to practise a bit. Although I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I love mermaids and this one by MiRan is so sweet. I colored her with pencils and added some "fishy" white dots with a gel pen. My daughter chose the hair color and that the tips would be a different one, kind of like the ombre style that she loves :-)
