Covered in crystals

Saturday, April 18, 2020 No comments
Hello again.
I've been fortunate enough to be an Oddball Art guest designer for April as well. Yay!
This time I have an inspiration post for the Creepy Cute Chronicles issue 101. Don't forget to sign up over at oddballartco.com for amazing freebies and fantastic offers.
For this weeks chronicles I've worked with an image called "Covered in crystals".

The image is colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. The background is also made with the same colors, painted and spattered. I also spattered paint on the card base. The background and the image is on 3D adhesive so card looks a bit more fun. I finished by gluing on some tiny sparkly sequins.

I hope you like this card. Have a great day! With love from a sunny Swedish west coast.

Hi.
Welcome to another guest designer card for Oddball Art. This time I used the super pretty Noora (image no. 244) and I actually made a video of the whole process. Yikes! I'm not talking though... Not quite there yet...

This is the first video I made not using only images. It's not perfect but I really enjoyed it so hopefully I'll make more and get better at it. Please watch it and also please comment  with what you think.

No cake for you!

Hello.
A quick post to show you a card I made for a lil' Facebook challenge. The challenger wanted snarky creations. Challenge accepted!

I made a fast and easy card using stamps from Taylored Expressions. The cat is from a set called Big grumpy cat and the sentiment is from the set Big grumpy birthday.

Enjoy :-)

Sparkle - Oddball Art

Hi..
I'm so happy to tell you that I'm a guest designer for March with Oddball Art. I'm so happy to be asked by Lizzy. I was on the design team a few years back and I still love these images with all my heart.

Today I.m making a card made with Oddball Art image #109, Kawaii Maddie n friends go back to school. When you get it you recieve two images, like the picture below. One is serious Maddie and one is a bit happier. For this card I chose Happy Maddie :-)

I started by making a background for my card. I really like using distress inks on acrylic blocks for a super pretty effect. You dab the inkpad on an acrylic block, spritz some water on it and plant it on your background paper. Lift it up and dry off the block. At this point I usually move the paper around a little bit before leaving it to dry. Sometimes I use my heat gun, if I need it to dry faster.

I used the same ink pad and do the whole thing over again and let it dry... again... Of course you can use different colors. Check out my card here and here for examples.

I stamped and embossed my sentiment with a pretty sparkly embossing powder that I've had in my craft stash for I don't know how many years :-) The sentiment is from a stamp set by Taylored Expressions. It's called "Be a unicorn".

It's time to color Maddie. I started of by using watercolor paint but switched to my ZIG Clean Color Brush pens. The first time I used them with water but re-did everything without water. Yup, Maddie was on my desk without colors 3 times... But I'm happy with how she turned out.

I fussy cut her and glued her to my pink distressed paper. A also used some sparkly paper for a frame and her spilling sparkles :-)

And... since it was Leap Day when I finished the card I decided to stamp the back with a date stamp (I usually never put dates on my cards.)

Hi everyone.
In case you missed it, Pretty Cute Stamps released the March 2017 digi stamp sets. They are Easter themed and super cute (like always).

I used the hilarious "Bunny Conversation" for my card. I just love it!
I colored the bunnies with my ZIG clean color markers and decorated with matching colors. The die that frames the bunnies is from Stamplorations and I think it's awesome :-)

Here is the full release for March. Visit the PCS store to get them for yourself :-)

Hi there.
It's been a while... I've been out of sorts for the last few months but finalyy I see the light. The crafting light! It started with a sore hand that needed to be treated with antibiotics and a thing to keep my hand stabelized. So that sucked... craft wise. On top of that I've been writing my two thesises, for my teaching degree. This week I'll now if I passed or not on the second one. I'm so nervous right now but since I can craft again, I'm good ;-)

I'm trying to catch up on some DT stuff and will start blogging again for my amazing teams shortly ♥

For this post I thought I'd show a card I made for a CAS-ual Fridays Challenge with the theme "Off the edge". I'm using stamps from the set called "Ka-boom". Since the theme is "Off the edge" I decided to make som sparks using tissuepaper falling off the side. The image, sentiment and a little background is colored with ZIG Clean Colors. They're amazing!

That's it for today. Hope to see you soon again!

Good morning!

It's my day to post some inspiration over at Pretty Cute Stamps and today I made a lil' wall art piece.
I haven't bought a frame yet but I'm sure you get the picture.

I used an image and sentiment from the "Hey Cupcake" digital set and printed them on an A5 (5.8" x 8.3") watercolor paper. I used mute colors this time and the rays are watercoloring using a stencil :-)
